Parking in the area is free and guests rarely have any issue finding a space. Directly opposite the house you’ll see a lay-by and this is the best place to park although for unloading purposes, guests often park directly outside the house.
-
No, but we do provide a collapsible baby bath that fits in the shower for guests with small children.
-
We keep our cleaning fee low in order to keep things affordable, but this fee only just covers laundry fees. We ask that guests try as much as possible to return the house to us as you found it. For this reason cleaning products are provided.

-
We do provide a washer/dryer in the downstairs WC, as well as a freestanding clothes dryer. We ask that you don’t overload the machine and keep washes to a minimum so that we can continue to offer this amenity.
-
Yes! We provide BBQ and utensils but ask that you bring your own charcoal and make sure you clean the BBQ after use
-
Both the main bedroom and smaller single bedroom have a door that opens into the upstairs shower room, so it is shared. We also provide shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand wash (not to be taken away from the property).
-
Ideal! Really fast wifi and a very quiet location means we often have returning guests who come specifically to finish a project. We provide two separate workspaces (one upstairs, one downstairs) with ergonomic office chairs and if you book through Ashore you’ll also have access to Apple monitors plus any additional accessories you need.
-
Again, ideal! We have two small children ourselves so have made every effort to make it as easy as possible for our guests with small families. The house comes equipped with a travel cot (with good mattress, but you’ll need to bring bedding) and this can fit in either the small bedroom or the main bedroom, a bed rail, highchairs, collapsible baby bath and a selection of toys. If there's anything else you might have forgotten, it’s also very likely we can lend it to you! We can also help with recommendations for child-friendly restaurants and activities nearby.

Depends on how far you can walk! The house is in a residential area and there are no pubs within a 10 minute walk (although there is an amazing Brewery within a 15 minute walk!). The house is on the edge of the city so within a 30 minute walk you can get to Norwich city centre which is full of great pubs.
-
Aldi and Asda are the closest two, within a 3 minute drive. Waitrose is a 7 minute drive.
-
We often have guests stay who are visiting nearby family and the house is great for hosting. For that reason we allow small gatherings (max 8 people) as long as we are told beforehand. We ask that guests are considerate with street parking. Only guests listed on the booking may stay overnight and no additional dogs.
-
Check in time is officially 4pm however if the house is ready before then I will often let you know. It is all dependant on what time the cleaners finish. If you are desperate to get in sooner, please do let me know so I can try my best to facilitate.
-
Check out is 10am and we tend to have to be quite strict on this as our cleaners arrive promptly at this time. On the rare occasion that we don’t have the next guests arriving in the afternoon, I may contact you to let you know you can leave at your leisure.
-
There is an Amazon fire stick provided in the TV so you can connect to all your streaming services. It is your responsibility to log out of your services upon check-out.
-
Yes! I live next door and like checking you in myself but if you’d prefer self check-in or you’re arriving late I’ll send you the code for the key box on the day of your arrival. I may also request that you check-in yourself if I am unavailable, and will hope to say hi at a later point!
-
Ideally yes, at check-in or check-out. But if we are away, or our paths don’t cross I’m always contactable by phone or Airbnb messenger. In the summer you’ll likely see us in the garden. Feel free to say hi - it’s always lovely to meet our guests.
-
You’re on the edge of the city here so you’re ideally placed to explore the countryside or the city, or even the seaside. If you want to explore the countryside and coast I would recommend bringing a car. If it’s a city break that you’re after, it’s a half hour walk to the city centre or a very quick taxi ride. For specific recommendations click here, or send me an email after you’ve booked.

We welcome a maximum of two well behaved dogs for a flat fee of £20 per dog per stay. We do have some rules in place so that we can continue to welcome dogs:
Dogs must stay on the lead in the garden (we have a cat)
Dogs must be picked up after and mess disposed of.
Dog bowls must remain on the rubber mat provided.
No dogs upstairs or on furniture
No dogs must be left in the property alone at any point.

It is a shared garden, however we tend to stay on one side of the garden to allow our guests to have a large area to themselves. The two sections of the garden are separated by a large shed and bushes and in the summer this gives guests a lot of privacy. We do find that the garden allows relaxed communication between our family and guests, and welcome this interaction but don’t expect it!
